Billy Sorenson founded RS Energy, a commercial solar installation company in 2008 during a lunch meeting. Over the past seven years, he has overseen more than $15 million in sales and has installed solar projects from as small as a house to a large commercial installation for the Austin, Texas school district. Billy currently lives in Summerlin, Nevada with his wife Kelsey.
Bill has strong abilities in taking a product to market, as well as opening up new markets. He has mastered the ability of project management, both internally as well as working with subcontractors or vendors. He understands the feeling of signing large deals, however, knows what to do when payroll can’t be made.
Topics he can mentor on include:
- Taking a product to market
- Project management for both internal and contracted employees
- Working well with vendors to ensure long-term successful relationships
- How to keep a company afloat when the large deals aren’t coming in.
