November 29 @ 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm PST
Pitch Practice at Work in Progress helps you get ready to pitch your business to investors. If you want to be invited to a Work in Progress Pitch Night and get your spot in front of a panel of investors, coming to a Pitch Practice is your first step.
You can attend Pitch Practice even if you aren’t planning to present for feedback. Attendance is free, but seats are limited. Please RSVP on Meetup if you’d like to attend.
Because demand is so high, those who would like the chance to practice must submit a short video ahead of time. Not everyone who submits will be selected to present a practice pitch. If you are selected to practice, you will be notified ahead of time. If you are not selected to practice, you may still attend if you RSVP on Meetup and there is still space left.
The format is as follows:
During the first hour, practice pitches are presented. Audience members fill out anonymous feedback forms which will be given to practicers at the conclusion of the night.
Upon completion of the practice pitches, mentors announce the topics of their breakout sessions and the practicers that will join them. Attendees who did not practice a pitch may choose which session they want to attend. For the remaining time, mentors offer training that is tailored to the needs of those who gave practice pitches.
Again, seating is limited. Please RSVP on Meetup to reserve your place, and if you can’t make it after all, please update your RSVP to make room for someone else. If you want to practice your pitch and receive feedback, submit your pitch idea here.
